Beer Label Aesthetics
In an odd last minute decision, I bought a 12 pack of plain old Budweiser tonight. While I won't turn down a Bud, I rarely reach for one. I am more likely to grab a Bud Select than a can or the King. It's still Budweiser. It's beery with the distinctive quick bite that it always has.
Budweiser does have one great thing: and absolutely iconic label. Hidden within the label on a can of Bud are four immediately identifiable traits: Budweiser in script, KING OF BEERS, the slanted GENUINE, and the AB logo surrounded by hops and barley. The bottles add the bow tie logo. Anyone of these elements would tip off most Americans that they were looking at a Budweiser.
