Ramblings From Justin Penney

Today I read two really scary things about her. First, she said that we should go to war with Russia if the invade other countries. The idiocy of this statement is made worse by her statement tying Iraq to the 9/11 attacks. Even Bush doesn't try to pass that pile of PS (polar bear shit, a la Gina Gershon) as true.

My crazy conspiracy theorist side thinks that these evangelical politicians are actively trying to drive the world into an apocalypse. Speaking in public that American troops are doing God's work in Iraq kind of pushes my opinion that way.

On a related note ... I'm phone banking for the Obama campaign this weekend. I cannot in good conscience let her crazy ass be first in line to hold a finger on the button. Her overzealous aggression is made even scarier with the lax oversight that has been set as precedent during the Bush administration. I hope the legislature can realize their folly and put some of the balance back in.
