Thank Science for Painkillers
I wonder if it's possible to have a back transplant! If so ... sign me up.
I hadn't had too many problems with it the last few months. There is daily pain but usually not enough to bother with or to stop me from doing anything.
Yesterday I got in my truck after work and I turned around to look back as I pulled out of the parking spot. When I came back around I moved just right, though wrong is probably more appropriate, and heard some horrid cracking noises and then felt the pain. The rest of the drive was terrible. I hurt to breathe very deeply so I started to get dizzy from the shallow breaths.
When I got home I headed straight to the recliner ... and the liquor cabinet. That helped some.
I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep, then staying asleep. When my alarm went off and I got out of bed I immediately called in to work and took some painkillers and went back to bed. I've spent the day so far trying to be as gentle on it as possible. Recliners, hot water and painkiller are great things to have on hand.
I feel ridiculous that I'm not even 30 and have days that I need a recliner. Ugh.
