Ramblings From Justin Penney

My social networks aren't all that social lately. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter ... they're all kind of quiet. The only thing I see are pictures and people throwing things. Not all that social.

Maybe my peer group is too old. Maybe they are luddites. Maybe they are just boring. Or ... maybe I am to blame. Am I a crappy social networker? I know I didn't respond to your tell me about me bulletin and I didn't hadukin you back ... I was hoping for more. You didn't come to my posted on Friday afternoon party or come to the concert that I played.

I think people are just burnt out. Everyone flooded on to MySpace then the public face of Facebook was shown and soem of us went there. I started tweeting on Twitter and even set up an account on Pownce. Each one had fewer and fewer people that I knew. I'm falling back to emails and forums. Sometimes it's phone calls!

I think we're all socialed out and we need to just hang out and have some drinks.
