Broke Truck
A few weeks ago my truck started shaking up and down while on the highway. I pulled over and checked the tire pressure. All of the tires were fine. I chalked it up to a bumpy section of road. After traveling about one half mile it started again. I pulled off the road again and checked all the lug nuts and checked for any slop in the suspension. Everything was fine. I waited a few minutes and it never happened again.
This afternoon it started doing it again while Jacey was driving. She mentioned a burning rubber smell. I had noticed a smell when it happened to me but attributed it to the rest of rush hour traffic.
The truck is now sitting at the Dodge dealer. I think the rear anti-lock brakes are having a problem. Like the brake is pulsing when it's not supposed to be. Of course there is no pattern to the problem so I'm sure this is going to be a hell of a battle.
We are having them look at another problem that happened once. We were driving home from Cimarron, KS and the fan stopped blowing air. It was still running but it wasn't coming out of the vents. We shut off the fan for about 30 minutes and it has never happened again.
