Ramblings From Justin Penney

We've got all the basics tracked! We have a few little things to patch up but overall it's pretty solid. Jon came out Saturday and we... well this was all Jon, but the vocals went down amazingly well. Some of the songs were one take which is unheard of lately.

After we finished up the vocals we went and had some beers at the Trouser Mouse. They are having a "rock night" with National Fire Theory and Hydrafader. I'm definitely goin there. A good show within a few miles of my house! The suburbs aren't horrible!So back to the album... so we got done and did some mixes. We were running back and forth from the studio to the stereo upstairs to listen ono the mp3 player. It was kind of frustrating. I ran out of CDs so we went and got some and took the last mix with us. We listened to Let it Bleed and then ours. Not that we're going for the same aesthetic but it was a nice reference.

After dinner we went back made 2 more mixes and had what we counted as the best for that day. We were pretty happy with it. I think Jacey even liked it.
