Fiona has been sick.
Our newest guinea pig has an upper respiratory infection. Her eyes had been matting shut and she had some unpleasant poop. Lily and I took her to the vet today.
When I took Fiona out of the cage Madeline started screaming like crazy, she was pretty distraught about Fiona being taken away.
The vet poked and prodded at Fiona. She squealed a lot and chattered a lot. The doctor checked the eye crusties and gave us some medication. He also took her back to give her some fluids. We were at the front desk and we heard her squeal. It was one of the most piercing noises I've ever heard in my life. The poitn of injections was leakign jsut a little so she came out a little bloody.
We've had to seperate her from Madeline for a while so we can monitor her eating and drinking. She's in a cat carrier next to the regular cage and they both get as close as the can and giggle like crazy. Fiona is already feeling a lot better since she got some fluids in her.
