Ramblings From Justin Penney

A few months ago my wife and I were working on our budget. We both agreed that the $50 per month for cable was too much and I called to cancel it. When I called, in order to keep us, they offered us the same thing we had but for $24.95 per month. We were OK with that and kept it. So it goes back up to $50 and we get the bill around Christmas. Well, I neglect to call until January's bill comes. Oops.

Either way we're now paying $50 per month and I'm T.O.'d. I am told by the super rude person that the $24.95 was only for 3 months. No one ever let us know this and it never said anything on our bill. I request to talk to a supervisor and I'm told one will call me back. She did we got it resolved and we paid the balance (or so we thought until I got a bill from them today) and cancelled the cable.

The original plan was to get satellite which would be $30 per month. Well... we never actually did that so now we are completely sans TV. We don't have any antennae except for a small portable TV in the studio that's not near any electrical service.

The really strange part about the TV-less week has been that we haven't noticed it at all! I generaly need a TV to go to sleep but have had no problems this week. I've been busy with music and work, Jacey's been busy studying for the LSAT (law school admissions test) and Lily's been reading and playing. Lily has watched a couple movies but no complaints about having no TV.
