Ramblings From Justin Penney

I started working with The Last Call Girls. We recorded their show at Davey's last Friday and we're going to capture their show at the Brick this Saturday.

The gig at Davey's was on the frustrating side. I showed up early to get my rig loaded in as well as get the snakes run up to their board since I was just taking the direct outs from the board. Since they were playing first I thought we would get time to spend time worrying about placement but once the sound guy showed we basically had time to get levels and get going. Hopefully the upcoming Brick show we'll have some time to really scrutinze the sounds and make sure everything is good rather than just having a signal.
