Ramblings From Justin Penney

I love, I guess loved is more appropriate now, Helmet. The first time I heard "Unsung" was amazing! I was really excited when I heard they had new stuff coming out and that they were going to tour. Well from the two songs on their site... it sucks. Just really typical of modern metal. No noise, no strange production just a shimmery modern metal sound. I even had to double check myself and go listen to some of their old stuff and sure enough... still awesome. Too bad. I guess to me it's not Helmet anymore. I don't think I really care if it was like "Gneric Metal Band featuring members of Helmet" I guess I wouldn't feel cheated. It's like Audioslave, who also REALLY sucks, at least they didn't call themselves Rage Against the Machine.
