Tomstock Recap

First off here are some pictures.

This was a party for Tom's son Andrew. He was turning 21 so we had a big ole party out at Tom's. Ryan and I started out pretty early on Saturday to get everythign set up for lights and sound. For lights Ryan got a deal on some par 46 cans and a dimmer pack and fader control. To fly the lighting rig we ziptied the cans to some trussing, stuck a long pole on a bale spike on a tractor and set the truss on it. It was then lifted in the air. Also the hydraulics on the tractor would lose pressure so we had to prop it up with a 2x4 as well. This is a picture worth a thousand words type of situation.

The sound was handled by Ryan's DJ rig and my Peavey mixer (which is for sale for $275 16 channel, sounds great). The stage was a flatbed trailer and a car hauler. The flatbed held the amps and served as a drum riser while the car hauler held the rest of the bands.

The party was great. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of beer! I think everyone had a few too many but definitely in a good way.

There were 5 performers over the night the order went: Jon Stubblefield, Deadline, his last chance, The Monarch Song and Johnny Switchblade and the K.C. Crooners.
