Ramblings From Justin Penney

I've had a great weekend! Lily had been sick with some sort of stomach bug on Thursday so I stayed home with her on Friday (not supposed to go to day care until they've been fever free for 24 hours). So it was not good to not be at work but it was nice to be with Lily all day. We played and hung out. She helped me a little in the studio and we went out for lunch jsut a fun day witht eh two of us.

Friday night I went down to the Lake of the Ozarks to hang out with a bunch of old friends. It was a blast! I'll have some pics up soon but trust me it was fun. Drinking, hanging out, swimming, skinny dipping, playing old songs. It was awesome. So many of my friends from high school are great musicians. It was cool when everyone was singing and hanging out.

I only got about 2 hours total of sleep Friday night. Saturday was cold and rainy. Just a dreary day. We did make a trek to this 100 foot high bluff on the edge of the lake and did swim. it was probably 65 degrees outside but the water was more like 78. It was really cool to be swimming in the pouring rain. The hangover however put a damper on it. I headed back home that night and fell asleep around 10:00 p.m.

Today (Sunday) Jacey and I hung out all day. We went to lunch with her mom and little sisters. We went shopping for clothes. We did have a fun little fight about her choice of footwear but it was good and playful. We got home and I finally got around to putting together the grill I got for Father's Day. We were grilling veggies and I was putting back a few bottles of Guiness. Definitely a good time jsut hanging out at home in our backyard.

On a side note... most people probably won't get this (unless you visit Fark alot but I finally got my Guiness bar towel!
