Clear Channel settled FCC complaints for $1.75M. Awesome. So much for freedom of speech. The horrible part is that they haven't released what was so bad that was done.

I just don't understand how one of the basic principles of our country is violated so often and with such severity and no one freaking cares! Americans keep voting for people that are in favor of this crap and it really makes me sad.

It's not about the kids. If the Bush administration really cared about kids at all they would take a look at how dumb "No Child Left Behind" is and up funding for education and family related programs. But they don't. It's just a way of pushing the values of the "right" onto the entire nation.

Another disturbing thing I saw last night was one of those "The More You Know" PSAs. This one was for the V-Chip, that thing in your TV that's supposed to allow you to restrict your kdis from viewing certain programs. It went something like "wish you could be with your children all the time, well... you can with a V-Chip." What?! What kind of hokey crap is that? That is the problem right there. Be involved in your childrens lives!
